Akine Dyioni
Much more than an ecolodge, a hideaway in the heart of the Casamance

LeS DUNES DE KAenghA
Akine Dyioni is located on twin dunes connected by a wooden bridge, in the middle of rice fields and community gardens, and about 150 meters from the Atlantic Ocean.
As the dune landscape is a fragile environment, all accommodation has been built and renovated with this in mind, as well as with the concern to make the most of local know-how.
Relaxing in a sustainable way
With Akine Dyioni, we don’t just offer a unique place to stay, we also promote gentle, respectful and conscious tourism. We feel responsible towards the community of Diembering to preserve this site and the dunes that surround it for future generations.

Your schientific and writing residence in Lower Casamance
Your hosts
As experts in development cooperation and connoisseurs of the West African context, we feel strongly connected to its populations and their environment.
We fell under the spell of the Kaengha dunes in 2019. Designed in 2012 in the spirit of a “world apart” (“Akine Dyioni” in kwataï), the site was already largely solar powered and local materials were valued.
Baké, Kanou and Raïka, our 3 dogs, will also be your hosts.

By taking over this place, we have the ambition to develop a charming hotel that combines ecological principles with relaxation, well-being, sports, discovery and cultural exchanges.
This project allows us to combine our commitment to sustainable development with our common passions : West African people and cultures, flora and fauna, gastronomy, music and literature.
We are committed to the idea of making a profit, while generating a positive return for society and the environment.
